The Bureau of Codes and Inspections is located on the third floor of City Hall. It plays an integral part in keeping the City clean and safe. The staff is responsible for enforcing the property maintenance codes adopted by the City, as well as the Uniform Construction Code adopted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Code Office handles complaints and inquiries regarding quality of life issues and property upkeep to include trash, abandoned vehicles, building conditions and tenant complaints.
