The City of Easton provides property owners (or their designee, such as a title search firm) tax certification services. A tax certification identifies all charges owed to the City of Easton on a particular property and is generally used by property owners or prospective property owners to negotiate a deed transfer. Tax certificate requests should be made in writing to the Department of Finance, 123 South Third Street, Easton, Pa 18042. All requests must be accompanied by a $25 service fee (per request, per property).
Alternatively, tax certificates can also be requested online by completing this form. Payment can be made by credit card or with a Pay Pal account.
Mortgage Escrow Services
The City of Easton works with all mortgage companies to ensure the accurate and timely payment of property owners whom have their real estate taxes paid by a mortgage company. If you represent a mortgage company and have questions about a property located in the City of Easton, please contact our office at 610-250-6754 for more information on these services.
Duplicate Bills & Receipts
The City of Easton provides duplicate bills and receipts to property owners and other interested parties (such as mortgage companies). If you require a duplicate bill, please submit a request in writing and mail it to the Department of Finance, 123 South Third Street, Easton, PA 18042. If you require a duplicate receipt, please submit that request in writing also and mail to the Department of Finance. All requests must be accompanied by a $10 service fee (per request per property).
