City of Easton to Hold 1/9 Public Meeting on Redevelopment of Black Diamond/Stewart Silk Mill Site

The City of Easton Department of Community & Economic Development and the development team of The Mill at Easton will hold a public meeting on Thursday, January 9 from 6 - 8 pm at Cheston Elementary School to discuss with the community and neighbors the redevelopment of the former Black Diamond /Stewart Silk Mill site at 620 Coal Street on South Side into The Mill at Easton.

The public meeting will feature a presentation by representatives of the development team that will include an overview of their project to bring housing and commercial/retail uses to the vacant site. The project is slated to have approximately 55 affordable residential units and will include commercial/retail space during phase two of development. The event is open to the general public and South Side neighbors are encouraged to attend.

The presentation will also include information on the project’s timeline and the schedule of activities that will take place on site. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions about the project and to share any concerns they may have.
