The city's mobile parking payment vendor - ParkMobile - has announced that it was hit with a cyber attack.
While some user account information was accessed by the hackers (license plate numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, and vehicle nicknames), the company said that credit card data was not. It is recommending all users to update their passwords as a precaution.
"No credit cards or parking transaction history was accessed and the company does not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers or dates of birth. ParkMobile urged users to change their passwords."
