City to Easton Pools to stay closed for summer - Mayor Sal Panto, Jr. has announced that the City of Easton’s two pools will not open for the 2020 summer season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Health concerns over social distancing requirements and the current stay-at-home order prompted city officials to be proactive in choosing to keep the pools closed.
The City of Easton's recreation programs are run with the assistance of a very hard working, volunteer Recreation Board. The recreation board consists of 8 Easton residents and a member of City Council.
The Recreation Board meets every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) on the third Monday of the month. The meetings are open to the public and are held on the third floor of City Hall in the Conference Room.
In addition to coordinating the recreational sports, the recreation board is involved in special events within the Easton community. The recreation board is instrumental in producing events such as the the Easter Egg Hunt, the Memorial Day parade and Santa on Centre Square.
Please direct any questions or concerns to the Assistant Recreation Program Coordinator at (610) 250-6711 or send e-mail.
The City of Easton Recreation Bureau currently offers 7 sports. In the fall, we offer football, soccer, fall basketball and cheerleading for children. In the spring, we offer baseball and softball, lacrosse and soccer for children.
