Street Sweeping Program

Overview

City of Easton Street SweepersThe City of Easton works hard at keeping its streets as clean as possible. In addition to using cleaning crews and portable litter vacuums on a daily basis, the Department of Public Works utilizes both mechanical and vacuum street sweepers that operate Monday through Friday between April 1 and December 1. The sweepers may be operated past these dates depending on weather and road conditions.

While we make every attempt to get the sweeper into all of the neighborhoods of the City, we have some limitations including narrow streets with many parked vehicles, equipment downtime, and available staffing. After completion of the scheduled routes, drivers continue operations along as many unscheduled roadways as possible with the goal of attempting to sweep as many streets in the City as possible at least once during the season.
